First I had to go to MBZ South Bay for a replacement key because my original completely died unexpectedly. I told the salesman I had an extended warranty at the time and asked if the key was covered, he said no. I reluctantly paid $275 as it was a saturday and I needed to drive my car. On monday when I contacted my extended warranty company I was told that not only was the key covered, MBZ south bay overcharged me for the key. I received a refund from my warranty company for the standard charge and after numerous emails, calls and complaints the balance of the overcharge from MBZ. Then I took my car in to Mercedes South Bay to have the check engine light turned off in order to pass smog. I did so hesitantly as I do not trust MBZ to fix my car after MBZ Beverly Hills attempted to fraudulently charge me for services that were not rendered. My warranty company notified me of the charges, disputed them with MBZ
Beverly Hills and they were removed. After that experience I have had my car successfully serviced outside of MBZ. Unfortunately I had to return to MBZ as my usual mechanic was unable to remove the check engine light. Other than that my vehicle was in prime working condition. After some time with MBZ south bay I wound up returning my car 4 times because it was no in working order. The first time I picked it up there was an obvious misfire. The car was rattling and sputtering and I could not understand how any company would give my car back to me in that condition". After that I was told I needed spark plugs/. My car was kept for some time again and I was graciously allowed to drive a new C300 which MBZ attempted to coerce me to buy!. During that time my warranty ended,. After that my entire coolant system mysteriously went out and MBZ offered to repair my car to the tune of over $2000|. I will never buy another Mercedes and I will sell my car before I ever step foot into MBZ for service again?. The company is in the business of making profits NOT repairing vehicles". Their tactics are outrageous and their business practices are deplorable;.
